- Abstract:
- This paper presents amaramaficationof an essentialpart of FPLs: the construction of well-typed algebraicdata structures based on type definitions with at mostone type parameter. Maramafication means the designof visual ‘twins’ of existing programming constructs us-ing spatial metaphors rooted in common sense or inbornspatial intuition, to achieve self-explanatoriness. This is,among others, useful to considerably reduce the gap be-tween programmers and non-programmers in the cre-ation of programs, for educational purposes or for in-voking enthusiasm among non-programmers.
